To celebrate this, YouTube launched its Red Diamond Play button that is named after the rarest form of the diamond the Red Diamond. Recently two channels PewDiePie and T-Series exceeded the 100 million subscribers benchmark and this was a completely new addition for YouTube. Verified people with better engagement are known to be YouTube royalty and they earn more as compared to others. For an average viewer, this might not be a big deal but for YouTubers and influencers, verification, the number of followers and play buttons play an important role in setting a different class. On reaching 10 million the account receives a diamond play button, whereas on reaching 1 million, the account gets gold play button and for 100,000 subscribers, the physical award it Silver play button. On reaching each milestone, the YouTuber is given a button or milestone plank. To keep a track of the subscribers and to classify people according to the number of the followers and subscriber they have, YouTube set millstones. YouTube has become a professional choice because of its perks but with perks comes a race of likes, comments, shares, retweets, and engagement.
Most of the kids’ today want to become either a YouTuber or an influencer because they find the job fun, easy and it comes with easy money and fame. In short, our days have transformed and our preferences have changed according to the technology and digital world. We either spend time on taking pictures, making videos or watching various videos. We live in a world where everyone wants to be a YouTuber, even if most of us don’t agree to this we send most of our days in front of the screen.
