Both JLC and GO offer a lot of watch for the money and can be had at a discount new or used. You may also want to consider the current Reverso Tribute Calendar in steel and the discontinued Grande Reverso Calendar in steel as well. Regardless, either would be great pieces. The GO has better movement finishing than the JLC but overall the classic looks of the JLC wins out for me. It echoes the Lange 1 but I actually like the looks of the GO better. I also really like the GO Panomatic Lunar, albeit in a silver dial but they do have a black dial available. It's not available in a black dial, however, so you may want to consider the Ultra Thin version, which is also quite attractive and more modern looking. Thus, the steel version would be my choice under $10,000. I love moonphases and for looks this is easily one of my favorite moonphase calendar watches regardless of price, particularly the gold version. While I love GO, I ended up going with the JLC.
